Algae

Algae can affect your spa as well as your pool. Although much more common in outdoor spas than indoor spas, it is still important to use a preventative algae product for both types of spas on a regular basis. It is always easier to prevent algae than to deal with an algae outbreak that can be stubborn and costly to remove.

The problem

Possible causes may include not enough free available chlorine or a low bromine residual. It is important to adjust the pH levels to maintain proper water balance. Simply use our recommended products to help prevent future outbreaks or treat an occurring problem.

Recommended solutions

- Adjust pH in the range of 7.2 - 7.6 (chlorine sanitizers) or 7.2 - 7.8 (bromine sanitizers).
