How to Use
This product creates a bromide reserve (bank) in spa and hot tub water. When used with a non‑chlorine shock oxidizer, the bromide reserve is converted into active bromine to continuously disinfect spa water.
This product does not sanitize by itself and must be used as part of a bromine sanitation system.
Spa or Hot Tub Start Up
Use this product when filling a new spa or after draining and refilling.
Before adding, ensure spa water is balanced and treat for metals if iron, copper, or manganese are present.
Add 4 ounces of product for every 250 gallons of spa or hot tub water.
Circulate water while adding to ensure even distribution.
Activate bromine by adding a compatible non‑chlorine shock oxidizer according to its label directions.
Weekly Maintenance
To maintain a sufficient bromide reserve, add 1 ounce of this product per 250 gallons of spa water weekly.
Test bromine levels regularly using a spa test kit.
Maintain bromine levels between 2–3 ppm for residential spas and 3–5 ppm for commercial installations.
Heavy spa use or high water temperatures may require more frequent dosing.
