How to Use

How to Use

This product is designed for continuous sanitation of spa and hot tub water using bromine. It helps keep water clean, clear, and free of strong chlorine odor when used as directed.

HTH Spa Bromine Tablets are suitable for use in erosion feeders or floating dispensers and are compatible with both residential and commercial spas.

Spa or Hot Tub Start Up

To start a new spa or recently drained hot tub, clean all surfaces and backflush or clean the filter.

Balance water by adjusting calcium hardness, total alkalinity, and pH to 7.2–7.6.

Add metal control if metals such as iron or copper are present.

Place bromine tablets into a suitable feeder or floater adjusted according to the manufacturer’s instructions.

Routine Bromine Maintenance

Maintain a bromine level of 2–4 ppm in residential spas and 4–6 ppm in commercial spas.

Monitor bromine levels regularly using a reliable spa test kit and adjust feeder settings as needed.

Bather load, water temperature, and other factors may require more frequent dosing.

Proper spa care practices recommend changing spa water every 60–90 days.

Superoxidation

Water‑soluble wastes can accumulate in spa water over time and cause cloudy water or unpleasant odors.

Regular superoxidation or shock treatment using a suitable oxidizing shock helps remove these wastes and maintain sparkling spa water.
